Feedback is love.

Today, I’m going to do a little begging. As a new indie writer there are several factors that will effect the sales of my books. First and foremost is if they are actually good. Because, let’s face it, there are tons of writers out there that aren’t that great. Not that I’m judging or anything. To each their own and you can’t please everyone. Another factor is getting the word out to potential readers. One way to do that is to run promotions similar to the one I ran last weekend. But regardless of how much advertising or promotional work you do there is one thing above all else that helps reel readers in. And that, my friends, is positive feedback. I know as a reader that is one of the things that will make or break a potential new read for me. Heck, a lot of times when I’m looking for something new I refine my search to only those with four stars or more so I know I’m not getting some junk I’ll get halfway through reading and realize I don’t really care about this character or what they’re going to do next.

Anyway, I digress. The point I’m trying to make is if you read any of my book and actually liked them enough to purchase the next one make that purchase mean something by leaving feedback for the next peep who’s looking for a good read. Not only will it help my book sales (yay!) but it will benefit those needy readers out there in this cold, dark world. I’ll make sure to use my manners. Please, and Thank you.

So I guess that wasn’t really begging. More like a long winded lecture but hopefully I got my point across. Remember, feedback is love!

Thanks,

Sara aka S. L. Gavyn
